Exfoliate Before You Use Indoor Tanning Equipment

Posted by Betty P Davis

by Betty P Davis

If you plan to get an indoor tan make sure you exfoliate. This is going to ensure you get the very best results from your tanning efforts. With the types of equipment out there right now, no one will ever be able to tell you didn’t get that gorgeous color lying out on the beach or at the pool.

Your skin will absorb more of the UV rays when you do so. It will also help you to develop a nice base tan. When you fail to exfoliate though you end up with dry flaky skin that will come off when you shower or as you go about your day. Since this is the outer layer that is what the tan color will be on. When that skin comes off, you won’t have the same glow underneath.

Many individuals understand the importance of exfoliating but they fail to see why they need to use a very good soap for the process. Not all soaps contain quality ingredients so the level of cleaning you will get is going to vary. You want to use one that has many natural ingredients in it. Avoid those with fragrances as they will hinder your exfoliating efforts.

Liquid soap for exfoliating seems to be less harsh than bars of soap. Most of what you will find out there comes in either form so you can choose what you want. You want to scrub your skin while you exfoliate with a loofa or a wash rag very well. This way you can remove all of the dry and dead skin from your body.

After you have washed your body, make sure you rinse it a few more times. You need to make sure every bit of the soap has been removed. What you leave behind can create a film and prevent the tanning process from really penetrating your skin. If you rinse all of the soap from your body though the UV rays can really get to your healthy skin.

How do you dry your body off after you shower? If you quickly wipe all the excess water off with a towel then you need to make some changes here as well. When you exfoliate it leaves the skin below vulnerable. So when you roughly dry it off you damage it. To protect it, slowly pat it dry and you will keep it looking and feeling great. You also need to remember to drink a significant amount of water each day.

After you have carefully dried off your skin, take the time to apply a very good quality moisturizer to it. This will look the moisture in and less of your skin will become dry and flaky. As a result, the tanning UV rays or products are going to penetrate that skin and give you a radiant glow. You will definitely notice the difference in a short period of time.

If you want to have fabulous results from indoor tanning, then you must take the time to exfoliate properly. There is just no way around doing this. If you aren’t going to put the effort into doing that then you aren’t going to be happy with what you get in return. Some people don’t realize that exfoliating is so important, but now that you know about it make it a part of your indoor tanning ritual.

Finding The Right Tanning Salon

Posted by Betty P Davis

A tanning salon may be just what you need to get that color you want. It can also help you to clear your mind and to have some time to yourself. You always want your tanning experiences to be the best quality so that you can get value for your money. Here are some tips to help you find the right tanning salon for you.

Finding a great tanning salon means you feel that you will be getting your money’s worth. You may find it costs a bit more for you to get what you want. If you are willing to pay that then that is great. If you need to count your pennies though then you will need to look for specials and even narrow down your list of requirements to the bare essentials.

Yet you need to make sure the price you are going to pay is comparable to the services you will get. Newer types of tanning equipment that are safe and offer you great features are expensive. Therefore you need to expect to pay more for the cost of using them. Look for discounts though as well as specials so that you can stretch the dollars you have for tanning.

Where is the facility located? If you have to drive out of your way each day to get there then it won’t be convenient. Look for one that meets your needs close to home, work, or even the daycare center where you take your children. That way you can easily swing in on your way to or from a place you already go.

What are the hours of service? You want to make sure you can get in when it is convenient for you as well. That may be early in the morning, at lunch, or after work. You also don’t want to wait around. Find out where the policy is about appointment times. You don’t want to have a standing 5 pm appointment and not get in until 5:20 on a regular basis due to others being late.

Spend some time getting to know how the facility operates. You can call with your questions but should also visit the salon in person before you sign up for services. Take a look around at the set up and determine if you will be happy there. If you feel uneasy around the staff then you aren’t going to want to pop in several times a week to tan.

Chances are you have friends and family members who tan as well. They can refer you to the location that they love to go to. Keep in mind though that the needs of people can be very different when it comes to tanning. Therefore what works best for them may not be a place you will be happy. Finding out what types of tanning equipment they offer is very important as well.

It is important to understand that the basics of tanning salons are the same. Yet there are enough significant differences out there that you need to ask for a tour first. Don’t assume that you will find what you did at a previous tanning salon. Likewise, if you have had bad experiences in the past then give some other tanning salons a chance to show you what they offer.

Know How To Get A Great Tan Indoors

Posted by Betty P Davis

by Betty P Davis

It can be a great idea to go to a tanning salon, but there are a few basics you should know before you do. They will help ensure you get the best results from your efforts. Indoor tanning can be fast and convenient but you want to go about it in the right way. There is no need to be embarrassed that your skin is white. Get a great looking tan so you can be comfortable showing off your legs and your arms.

The shape of your skin before you start to tan is going to affect the quality of your indoor tan. You may not realize how much dry skin and dead cells affect the results you will get. Take the time to exfoliate on a regular basis so that you can keep your skin very healthy. You will need to do this more often during the drier weather so just add it to your shower routine once a week.

Moisturizer should be added to your skin a couple of times day when you are tanning. There are plenty of them to choose from but make sure you get one that is going to really penetrate the layers of skin. You will find many reviews about moisturizers online that could be helpful. Those that are effective may cost more but they are worth it for the ways they protect your skin.

A great way to speed up the tanning process is to use various products. Most tanning salons have plenty of them on hand for you to choose from. They may have package deals too where you can get a great price on your tanning sessions and the products at the same time. Tanning accelerators work rapidly and you will love being able to see the difference in your skin color in a very short period of time.

After the base tan is established you will want to maintain it. A bronzer is the best way to be able to do this. Most tanning salons offer both accelerators and bronzers for various skin colors and types. Ask the staff there to help you find the one that is right for you. It is a good idea to find those with a moisturizer included as well. It is worth the price to pay for such products if you really want to get the most from your indoor tanning sessions.

It is understandable that you may be in quite a hurry to get a nice looking tan. However, this is a process that is going to take some time. You need to really know your body before you can evaluate the time for each session. If you burn in the sun then you can burn in a tanning salon too. The lighter your skin is the fewer minutes you need to spend in the tanning equipment for each session.

If you aren’t sure how much time your body will be able to handle then start out at something low. You can monitor how you are reacting to it and then add more minutes as you go. This way you will get nice and tan instead of going from white to red. You also won’t have to deal with the discomfort of burned skin which some people don’t realize you can get with indoor tanning.

If you know the best ways to get a great tan indoors you will get the most out of your money and your efforts. You will love the way your skin looks and be ready for any summer activity. Both men and women enjoy looking their very best. Indoor tanning is a great way to do it and still have time for the other activities in your life that you need to take care of.
